• Managed end-to-end delivery of one of the key issuer products for operational insights in South Asia (SA) and Southeast Asia (SEA) markets with ARR USD 1M+; integrated multiple enhancements and liaised with both internal and external stakeholders
• Conducted market-wide workshops on authorization, fraud and chargeback performance optimization for issuers across SEA spanning 5 markets (ID, MY, PH, SG and TH) with 65+ participating financial institutions; served as analytics lead in the team and led 1:1 diagnostic sessions with banks’ functional and business teams
• Developed off-the-shelf propensity models for 4 regions—APAC, LAC, MEA and NAM—with the intent of leveraging the revenge-travel wave; to incentivize cardholders on travel-related spending and bring back pre-pandemic thresholds; the model was later on/cross-sold to multiple issuers by client business leads
• Worked with a leading health insurance provider in Australia on identification of opportunities for potential partnerships and loyalty offerings with non-competing retailers; leveraged MA data to quantify customers’ spending patterns and recommended top merchants across 11 industries to drive i. acquisition, ii. engagement and iii. retention
• Other engagements: led a workstream to benchmark performance and spend behaviours for e-commerce optimization strategy for a European bank; loyalty segmentation, headroom quantification and competitor analysis for an airline-cobrand card offered by an issuer in SEA; scoping and BD support for custom reporting opportunities; India on-soil product development, migration and ad-hoc insights for business-intelligence and sales support; regulatory reporting on daily-spend KPIs for a European bank; persona segmentation and activation model for CNP-spend stimulation campaign for an SA issuer

• Studied the credit card portfolio of a top American bank to provide insights into the credit marketplace to benchmark the usage, preferences and payment behaviours of its cardholders against those of other issuers
• Developed an internal GUI tool for the Panels Team with an overall objective of re-engineering and automation of critical business processes involved in typical client engagement lifecycle; piloted multiple NLP-based features (e.g., chatbot); tool decreased the ad-hoc delivery-process time by ~65%
• Social Media Listening Pipeline: Generated additional insights to study the effect of COVID-19 on consumers’ sentiments in APAC markets (pilot: TH) using supervised and unsupervised learning

Summer Research Fellow

• Selected for the prestigious fellowship sponsored by the three National Science Academies of India—IASc, INSA and NASI
• Worked under Dr Murali Kota (Adj. Prof. at University of Southern California and IIT Bombay) at V-Labs; attended workshops at IISc
• Implemented automatic speech recognition (ASR) for speech-to-text (STT) using Kaldi and CMUSphinx toolkits; and carried out keyword extraction along with sentiment analysis using different unsupervised learning algorithms on the text corpora to compare and evaluate the performance of the system
